There is another major reason.

Sonny, this year the single largest reason for increases in Oil and Gas prices, the fall in the Dollar. Record breaking deficit spending has caused the decline in the Dollar or the purchasing price in the dollar.

Rein in spending, drill for domestic sources and you will see prices move down.
