The wife, a born and bred Republican, was terrified at the prospect of Palin being elected because of how Palin answered, or in truth did not answer, the questions asked of her. The wife has been teaching over 25 years. Most of those years have been spent teaching in college.

So we have a disagreement regarding Sarah's courage.

So many are blowing Sarah off, Snow! She is brave and trying to hold her family together above all else. She stepped down to save Alaska money and her family, too, $500,000 in legal bills? So many ethics complaints! (Maybe we should file some ethics complaints against prezboy, and his travelling babysitter/mother in law!) The leftys/libs and especially the GOP elites chew Sarah up and spit her out with so much hatred and derision. At Hot Air and some other blogs, articles about Sarah have thousands of comments on a thread. What is it about her? I respect that,however, the courage of Sarah Palin goes far beyond her current desicion. It goes back when she decided to take on "their" world and WIN. Her being a "Maverick," a name she never used on herself until she was a VP candidate, is as much spin as anything. It is an attempt to repackage what is there.

Like I said before, the attacks on her family are shamefully wrong. Many of the ethics charges are trivial and thus constitute harassment. But there are legitimate criticisms of her. I have already cited some.

Finally, her decision implies nothing about her honesty.

I was a social worker and we were all familiar with those who abused the system, but that was a minority of people I worked with and from what I remember, my colleagues back then would have said the same thing
