The Problem With Regulation

... I hear someone blame the current crisis on "deregulation", I always ask: precisely, what was deregulated? Did the Code of Federal Regulations get smaller or larger during the Bush Administration? Did the budget for regulatory agencies get increased or decreased during the Bush Administration? And, of course, I always mention Sarbanes-Oxley. Usually at that point I just get called a "neocon" and the person starts talking about the war in Iraq....

I read your post about deregulation. Sounds like you did your homework. I'm just pointing out what personal observations and logic (now apparently known as "naysaying") reveal.
