I don't often click the link to a blog but really liked your comments on Sowell's column. Good start on the blog. I agree with your view on the scriptures. It really discourages one's hope for mankind when idiots like those quoted above continue to be reelected to public office.

I know what you mean. There are just way too many good blogs out there to expect much traffic here. But hey, doing it is free and not fattening.

There is a lot to be discouraged about these days, and it's easy to be fatalistic. But every day I ponder the following: My wife and kids love me. I have a place to live, plenty to eat, a job and a vehicle to get me there. I can hop in the car and drive anywhere in the country I want, and I can stand on a box downtown and criticize the President unmolested.

It doesn't mean I'm complacent, but it does mean I'm happy.

Won't read about it in the MSM though. I can claim all the same things you listed. I mostly get discouraged watching well intentioned people make such colossal errors in judgement like voting democratic these days. I always hope the majority gets it right when the chips are on the line.
