Marrige Lives On!

Let me preface this by saying I love marriage, am currently married and have never been divorced - I'm done for life. But, those statistics don't make any sense. How could we have 219,559,000 people (15 and older) have EVER been married and also have 219,559,000 people (15 and older) have EVER been divorced? The same number of people that have been married have also been divorced? They've probably listed the wrong number for the number of people who've been divorced, but not listing the right number gives us no idea if those percentages are correct. Also, only counting people who've "Ever Been Divorced" does not give multiple credit to people who've been divorced multiple times, which would be required to answer the question honestly "What percentage of marriages end in divorce" and calculate the true "marriage rate". Medved might want to get those issues straightend out before he goes off on his "liberals with statistics" rampage.
