I don't see you as whacko. When you look at everything happening in the world...the War Clouds are definitely gathering. We might be able to abate a large part of it if we could get the d*mn radical left under control. They persist in their looney views that withdrawing and being nice and they will be nice and leave us alone is the answer. Nobody likes war, but sometimes it is the only moral answer.

A brief review of Russian Adventurism:

The Ruskies fail every time they set foot beyond their White Russian borders.

[1] They failed to control their satellites states with Comintern, assignations, massive walls and other measures. Given the chance to break away their allies did so. They burdened the Baltic states with housing their soldiers because they had no other place to put them.

[2] Russian antics at the Chinese frontier lasted for 3-4 decades and brought nothing to the USSR. They could not influence the PRC. They built 45,000 tanks, most of which could not run very long or far. Most of them rust now.

[3] Their fine work in Cuba was repulsed with mere bluffs and bravado and no military action or reaction. They had to leave in disgrace.

[4] They could not complete the contract to build the Aswan High Dam in Egypt due to their bungling. They lost the contract.

[5] Their advisors failed to properly train Arabs in the use of their tanks, planes and other military hardware in the 67 and 72 wars in Palestine. Egypt threw them out. They lost influence in Syria, the Land of lost Russian tanks where only the backup lights worked. All the Russian MIGs where shot down by Israel.

[6] Their antics in Africa went no where and they settled for paying for Cuban troops in Angola and accomplished nothing.

[7] The failed in Afghanistan and Chechnya. They cannot contain Islamic terrorists anywhere on the globe especially in Russia.

[8] They had no effective impact in Viet Nam, Cambodia or Laos. The Chinese sacked their supply trains while crossing their land and supplanted Chinese rifles and missiles as copies of Russian weapons and kept the good stuff.

[9] They failed to stand up to NATO in Serbia and looked like fools when challenged. They backed down.

[10] They lost a war with tiny Finland. They blundered and allowed the war in Korea.

[11] They could not hold up on their bargain to split up Poland in 1939 against horse cavalry and light guns and had to withdraw and settle for some Baltic lands.

[12] Their Showcase in Cuba was a failure.

[13] Their ability to sell oil, gold and such is very poor. They are inefficient in their production methods. They can sell fish eggs and vodka. Vodka does not freeze and is made from corn now. Norway sells the best vodka.

[14] They bungled the grain harvest in the Ukraine for 4-5 decades and have lost that now. They cannot control their neighbors, which were once subservient to their needs.

[15] Their leaders are a joke. Their politics are corrupt. Their elections are rigged.

[16] Their currency has been so much soggy crap since 1919. Russian ‘savings’ evaporated in massive inflation.

[17] They still cannot get a decent potato[e] harvest. Their space work is a joke. Cannot they find the Moon? Most of their probes crashed. They can boost up people, tourists and borsht to the Space Station after 50 years of practice, a mere 150 miles above the Earth.

[18] Moscow is run by more than 100 Mafia style multi-millionaire criminals that run huge gangs. There is little credit. Westerners cannot rely on Russian banks. 90% of the Western business persons who visited there for commerce will never return. They cannot run hotels. The food is horrible, late and cold.

[19] Their nuclear subs are so noisy they disturb the birds near the shore. The ocean is littered with their nuclear debris from disasters. They have an old sailor’s home where nobody has any hair left.

[20] They were wiped away in a great sea battle in the Pacific by Japan in 1905.

Given that 88 year history of incompetence I now ask just what they will do in Lebanon: They can build something? They can repair bridges and roads? By themselves?? They cannot work in a vacuum. The UN is hopeless and cannot do anything right so why would we expect these losers to fix things. The notion that Russia will stand with the Hezolunatics and fight a modern war against Israel is too funny to discuss. Russians will stand against Apache helos and modern Israeli tanks? Do they know about Hellfire missiles yet? Do they really have satellites they can move over Israel? They cannot protect their own schools from Islamic terrorists. What are they going to use for money?? The UN will supply this money? What will they do about the French? Trade Vodka for Bordeaux?

If the Russians moved in with Syria or set up in Gaza we might be concerned. Lebanon is now a wasteland and has been since the Roman times. Whoever invited the Russians in to build something other than a pigsty or holes for potatoes should have consulted the Japanese, Brazilians or gone to Walt Disney or the Brits.
