A Difficult Decision

Right on!

I have a similar post at http://mymnmanifesto.townhall.com/.

Mike

Good to hear from you again, and glad you came back. I will have to visit your blog again. I took a very cursory look when I finally got through (after responding to your other posts), but need to spend a bit more time looking it over.

Not Sure

It appears you are a different Mike from the Mike who commented Thursday on my "Bush and Clinton..." article.

Apparently names can overlap on Townhall. Either that or you are the same Mike but have a new blog.

If you are a different Mike, then welcome to my blog, and thank you for the comment!

If you are the same Mike with a new blog, then welcome back!

Sorry for the confusion. It is just that a "Mike" posted Thursday, so I assumed you were the same Mike.

I will

vote for McCain if he is the nominee. As much as I dislike some of the things he's done, He'd be a much better alternative than Hillary or Obama

Sheepdog

Welcome to the blog, and thank you for your comments.

I am no fan of McCain either. If you look at earlier posts you will see that I am quite critical of him. Still, given the choice between a bad Republican and almost any Democrat (Zell Miller and maybe Joe Lieberman excepted) I will always vote Republican, for the reasons given above.

As I said, welcome to the blog and thanks for posting. I hope to hear form you again soon.

hmmm

I wanted Thompson, Hunter, even Newt was a longshot possibility...Now I am forced to deal with this possibility. As someone on the main page said...Maybe McCain could surprise us. Ever the optimist, I'll try to get there. It's obvious that my choices are limited.

I agree

Nee, I am with you. Thompson was my first choice. (Provided Newt didn't run.) Then Hunter.

If Paul was still keeping up the sane facade we wore in the late 80's I would have probably supported him. Fortunately he showed his real crazy self, so I was spared accidentally supporting a lunatic.

Now we seem stuck with McCain. (Or, if we are lucky, the almost as bad Romney or, if we are unlucky, even worse Huckabee.) I am not thrilled with it, but I can't agree with those who say McCain will be just as bad as Hillary or Obama.

At least McCain probably won't roll over and surrender to Islamic terrorists, so, on that alone, I have to support him, no matter how little I like him on other matters. (And maybe, if we are really lucky, he will even be willing to stand up to Iran. I can hope anyway.)

So I pray for a good VP pick, to give me someone to support in 2016 (2012 if McCain's health doesn't hold), and hope McCain doesn't do too much harm to the nation or the party.

Typo

Should read "sane facade HE wore in the 80's".

Fortunately I can edit my articles, or else they would be riddled with as many typos as my comments are.
