You state the truth when you say nothing is mightier than God. This is why leftists seek to destroy Him. They wish to do away with Him, so as to make an idol they can worship on their own terms. That way, they don't have to answer to anyone. Being in control is paramount. They cannot abide relinquishing control to a God with a "code of conduct". Thus the need for moral relativism.

Is among the discussion points I will be pursuing in my next series. Basically, I'm examining the post-modern mind set and its objections to God and Christianity and trying to answer some of them.
The fact is that we in America particularly, due to our emphasis on individual rights, have a great deal of difficulty with authority. This grew to a head in the late-1960s, but it had been fomenting for generations and it is still an active agent within our culture. On the one hand, the individual freedom to decide for ourselves what we believe is a very Protestant, evangelical and Biblical principle, but on the other hand, it trips many because they think they cannot derive what they believe from any authority other than the voices in their heads.

You are so right.
Leftists need lots of prayer that their eyes will be opened.

but I am afraid that they are way "over-matched". They also have a problem with acknowledging anything more powerful then themselves. If they so acknowledge a higher power, than they have to admit that this higher power might have rules.
The Leftists can not live with rules not of their own making.
Personally I love and trust God and his Son, Jesus Christ. I gave my life to Him years ago, and He holds my life in His hands. That gives me an inter strength that I am afraid the Leftists will never know. It doesn't mean I am perfect, just saved.

Taking prayer out of schools
was only the first volley shot in the war to assault our religion. Now demands are made in every area where there is a public meeting or sports event. However, in assaulting Christianity, Islam, a religion hostile to Christianity and Judaism is being accomodated. If we let this go unnoticed, it will be a second battle lost.
We cannot allow Christianity to be banned in public places. We are not a threat to others, we are the fabric from which this nation was made. Giving ground little by little is not the way to stand our ground.
God bless America. May she always be on the side of the angels and they, her.

mirrors much of my thoughts. I believe this election is going to be critical in many ways. We truly need to be seeking God's wisdom in how to proceed. It is so very easy to get caught up in our own thoughts and wants that we forget God has a plan that He will reveal to us if we seek Him. I truly believe BO will be a cliff that we won't want to be near.
Throughout my life, God has performed miracles great and small. An alarm clock worked only when I needed it the most. An instantaneous answer to prayer. All things work together for good for those who love the Lord. His will, not ours.
I always enjoy finding your comments on the TH threads. I check in when I can to FA. Thank you .
