Why Does the Father of the Ice Age Get the Cold Shoulder?

An elderly lady I home teach shared this wonderful book, The Other Eminent Men of Wilford Woodruff, with me. She let me borrow it. I too was astonished when I read the very first chapter on Louis Agassiz. What a wonderful man and the true father of American science. I searched the Internet for more on Agassiz and was dismayed at what I found, terse caustic summaries that focused on his opposition to Darwin's theory of evolution. His life's work on the Ice Age, fossils, co-founding with his wife of Radcliffe College (now part of Harvard), a founder of the National Academy of Science, work in establishing the Natural History Museum in the Smithsonian Institute and much more are all buried and ridiculed.
He is forcefully ignored because he dared refute Darwinism in favor of Aristotle's 'divine creation'. Darwin is the founding prophet of the humanistic religion which is modern science. Agassiz was the Anti-Darwin who dared refute the dogma of evolution. Thus Agassiz earned the 'righteous indignation' of all true believers ,scientists, and has been excommunicated from the canons of science and history.
Today, this is happening again with the so called 'global warming deniers'. Anyone, especially scientists, who dare refute the 'truth' of global warming is ridiculed, mocked, spat upon and 'burned at the stake' as heretics.
