Bush hastened the current crisis by not performing the duties of POTUS.
His almost morbid love for illegal aliens coupled with his failure to secure the borders and blindness to the dangers of a religious and fanatical based army did much to place us in the position we are in today.

Well done my friend! Aristotle, socrates, Einstein, Newton, and DeVinci all take a backseat to Franklin in my opinion. This country was blessed with what I believe was the most brilliant mind of the ages(any of you that think I'm crazy have never studied the man). He truly understood the pitfalls and delicacy of a Republic. He and others of our founding fathers who grasped his insight left tools in place for those he knew in future generations would "Get It" to protect the integrity of the republic.
The left attempts to portait us as cold and uncaring. I know many true conservatives and that is furthest thing from the truth. A Conservative is the most compassionate person where compassion is desserved. We're the first to charity and the last to demand anything. Funny that the ones who demand everything are the ones calling us greedy. Where they play on us is that Conservatives exptect a capable person to excersize independence and personal responsibility. Something foul and offensive to the lazy leeches of the left. Our problem as Conservatives is that our sense of charity has failed us as we compramise to the left whilest they never compitulate. Remember Margret Thatchers great quote: "I seem to smell the stench of appeasement in the air". It's appeasement that has stunk up the Republican party and something we can no longer afford. We must return to the days of our founding fathers or at least to the days of Ronald Reagan. In those days the only ones that were unhappy were small group of Marxist, Fascist, communist radicals who by the way now run the country.

I would so love it if the drunk from Scranton ventured here to comment on THIS column, but we both know he's still struggling to understand the substance, if he bothered to read it at all.

At any rate, you have outlined a tremendous opportunity for conservatives and libertarians to find and fight on common ground against the attempted conversion of the USA to the USSR by the radical, fringe socialist minority.

As Jim reinforced in his great remarks, constitutional education of today's youth MUST be a priority and our goal should be turning most public school systems into vacant buildings.

As much as I thought of President Bush, I was infuriated over his illegal alien policies. I voiced my opinion many times. His decisions have hurt us, just as McCain would have also.

But Lord deliver us from these constitutional hating liberals we have in office now.

The idea has been rolling around in my brain for awhile. I'd like to see the religious right get onboard as well. Our main focus of effort should be crushing the liberals FIRST and then working out our agenda in detail afterwards. We have the format, Reagan gave it to us.
