Epstein vs
Epstein identifies the old-style antiSemitism of country club Republicans as a primary obstacle to Republican identification among Jews.
By contrast, Dennis Prager emphasizes the horrendous experiences that Jews had with Catholics in Europe, and explains that they view conservative Christian Republicans with great suspicion. Prager also teaches that this is completely wrong, that conservative Christians are the greatest friends and allies that religious Jews have today. He says that the darkest secret that Jews have is that they are always wondering who among their nonJewish friends will hide them when the inevitable danger arrives.
In my opinion (as a conservative Christian who believes in Sabbath observance and in observing the Old Testament Holy Days), Prager is correct.
It follows from this that the greatest force holding Jews to a common political identification (liberal Democrats) is a survival instinct that it is dangerous to leave the group in any way.
This attitude was understandable in Europe, but not in America. Here, those of you who believe in God and the Torah have more in common with people like me than you do with secular Jews. Armed conservative Christians (which I am, in spades) are the greatest protectors you'll ever have.
But my advice to all of you is to arm yourselves and learn to shoot, so that you won't need protectors. Then you won't have to trust anybody.

LBJ, righteous Gentile
Epstein praises LBJ, but does not refer to his actual good work in saving Jews. Here is a link that describes it.

I would observe that LBJ may not have been a Gentile; he may have descended from the tribe of Joseph; which, if true, would be quite fitting.
