Selling Our Soul To China

Our days as superpower are over
We as Americans will have a better future when we realize that we are no longer a superpower. We have a goverment that focuses on the short term and ignores the long term consequences. In the event of a war with either China or Russia, we do not have the finances nor the motivation to lead the fight as we cannot protect ourselves, let alone other countries, in a sustainable fasion. The Monroe Doctrine is dead.
The fate of the US is the same as that of the American car companies. Do we make drastic changes and do the right thing (eliminiate debt, remove energy crutches, avaoid labor waste, and actually make those decisions that are unpopular for short term viewpoints) or do we just talk a good story and still do the same thing.
In my opinion, we will have to hit an incredible low before this country will make any meaningful changes. Just as a drug attict gets to a point where it is "do or die".
In the end, I believe that our fate will be that of England. We pretend that we have strength and the ability to make those unpopular decisions but we do not. Ultimately becoming a minor Socialist country that dwells on the glory of the past.

Michael Moore is right
I agree with the original poster, and I hate to say it but Michael Moore (Director Farenheight 911) was right all along.
The United States is just a bunch of Fat Cats more concerned with baseball steroid use and "Big Oil" profits that they are with the real issues.
We cannot count on our government to solve our problems. So, my question to the original poster is WHAT ARE YOU PERSONALLY DOING (besides this blog) TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS?
I want to hear real things that you are doing...not just talk.
I will assume that no response means that you are a HYPOCRITE and that you are JUST LIKE THE BUFFOONS RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENT!!!

Response to Bill
Bill, you wrote the following: "I will assume that no response means that you are a HYPOCRITE and that you are JUST LIKE THE BUFFOONS RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENT!!!" Why would you say such a thing? Why would you accuse me of being a hypocrite? There are enough bombs being thrown around and look where that has gotten us - distracted from the real issues and real problems facing our nation and mired in nonsense - that is where it has gotten us. We all need to work together to save our country from self destructing.
To answer your question as best I can, first and foremost, I pray for the re-conversion of this country and for its future. I am beginning with this blog and trying to publish opinion pieces, letters to the ed.., etc., in newspapers; I am currently keeping in contact with friends from around the country discussing realistic ways by which we can reclaim our government; I speak at my church, with friends, and any forum can find to point out the necessity of drastic changes in the way our government operates. I would like to write a short book and pamphlets to email and distribute, and maybe think about seeking office someday - certainly volunteering to campaign for a candidate whenever I find one who isn't a scumbag careerist.
Do not mistake my intentions or words for hypocrisy, sir, because althought I may have many faults, being a hypocrite has never been one of them, and I am sorry if you are inclined to consider me as one. Time will tell, will it not? I am only recently in a position where I have the time and ability to consider doing these things so my current plan of action is still a work in progress, but even as I figure it out I will be posting.
I do thank you for taking the time to read my post and hope that in the future if you continue to read my posts, you will consider me less a buffoon and a hypocrite and more a patriot.

Response to Chad
Let's face the truth. It would be deceptive to say that you are not a hypocrite. To see if you are a blatant hipocrite let me ask you two simple questions.
#1: Do you like to give Blow Jobs? (Yes or No)
#2: Do you like to receive Blow Jobs? (Yes or No)
If the answers not not the same for both questions, then yes, you are a hypocrite. If the answers are both YES, then you are a homosexual. If the ansers are both NO, then this discussion ends NOW as I do not want to talk to you anymore.
And, oh yeah, you are probobly not a racist either.

Please do the right thing
Bill, I understand what you are saying and to a degree I agree with you, but we must keep in mind that the original writer is voicing the admirable position.
Ultimately he is correct. Let's not drown out his message with "Belligerent Rants," with all due respect.
Although this is just one man and one blog, the original poster, I believe he reflects the opinion of the majority of American citizens (although not those of those dirty illegal aliens).
It is with millions of small blogs and youtube videos such as this that eventually give permission to politicians to voice their true feelings to do the right thing.
Let's not ruin this noble action by calling the original poster a hypocrite, no matter what his sexual preference is.

Response to Bill's response
How very sad for you, Bill. It appears that you are wholly unable to formulate any semblance of a coherent, rational or logical argument and so the need arises need immediately to resort to profanity and obscene accusations that are baseless, mean spirited, and shallow - presumably a reflection of your own self image. I suspected this, of course, seeing as you are a Michael Moore fan - a bigger hypocrite one would indeed be hard pressed to find. I suppose you will do your part to save our republic by voting for Obama. Please do me and everone else the courtesy of never reading or posting here again. Best of luck to you - you'll need it.
