Once, Twice, Three Times a Muslim

Maybe You Can Answer a Q

Can you help me? I would like to understand how the Muslims view this President. Is he an infidel? A Muslim? A dhimmi who will pay the jizya with my treasure and/or blood?

Given you are a journalist, I figure you can find the answer. I keep running into google dead ends (I am computer/internet stupid, BTW).

Thanx in advance for any help you can give me, Ms. Grimes.

Answer to Mrs AL

Since the American media has not been comfortable using the word "muslim" in the same sentence with "Obama," it is not easy to find information or statistics about this.
I do remember this from Newsweek: The American Muslim Task Force on Civil Rights and Elections released a poll today of over 600 Muslims from more than 10 states, including Florida and Pennsylvania, and it revealed that 89 percent of respondents voted for Obama, while only 2 percent voted for McCain. It also indicated that 95 percent of Muslims polled cast a ballot in this year's presidential election—the highest turnout in a U.S. election ever—and 14 percent of those were first-time voters. The Gallup Center for Muslim studies estimates that U.S. Muslims favored Obama in greater numbers than did Hispanics (67 percent of whom voted for Obama) and nearly matched that of African-Americans, 93 percent of whom voted for Obama. More than two thirds who were polled said the economy was the most important issue affecting their decision on Nov. 4th, while 16 percent said the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan informed their vote—numbers that put Muslims roughly on a par with the general population.
Yes, it's from Newsweek (liberal) and it's only a poll of 600 Muslims. Most Muslims are private about their politics.

Thank You

for the info from Newsweek. Good to hear I am not the only one having trouble finding anything on this.

I am grateful for the time you took to respond. Like a bad penny, I will turn up again.
