The media, they like to call themselves the peoples watchdog, will very seldom investigate and dig deep into the new bills and publish the information for the people to review and digest, and then contact the reps to vote for or against. From the media we hear sound bites, those pre-arranged 5 to 15 second comments by both parties and that's about it. Both the politicians and the media think that the average Joe and Mary are too stupid to digest anything more.

Sheep needing a shephard, and they are it.

The sad thing is that most Joes and Marys are too pre occupied and only want the 15 second sound bites to re-enforce their already programmmed sheepnish. "I'm too busy to get involved".
