The Judgments of God – What did Jesus Say?

J.C.Ryle commenting about this passage said "How much more ready people are to talk of the deaths of others than their own. The death of the Galieans, mentioned here, was probably a common subject of conversations in Jerusalem and all Judea. We can well believe that all the circumstances and particulars belonging to it were continually discussed by thousands who never thought of their own latter end. It is just the same in the present day."

Every disaster IS a forerunner of the Last Judgement.

The judgments of the Genesis Flood and Sodom and Gomorrah are given as examples of the suddenness of the Final Judgment [2 Peter 2&3]. Once it comes there is no getting ready. From our perspective we stand ready; from God’s perspective He makes us to stand.
