Doug

I have been a Bush supporter since day one. I knew his record as governor of Texas and was confident he could do some good things for the economy. Alas, as you have so aptly written, his agenda was hijacked. A lesser man would not have produced the same results he has. No, they would have done no good, if not harm.

While I probably don't credit him with as many mistakes as anyone else, I know he is not perfect. He is nothing if not an honest and sincere man. His spirituality is genuine, and his greatest regret, as you pointed out, is the loss of so many of our brave. I will, in the future, be nere as peaceful inside knowing he is no longer the man in the Whitehouse.

And Laura is a saint of a woman.

A great testament, well written and well deserved.

More Like The Pied Piper

Dear Doug,
President Bush is more like the pied piper for leading, actually misleading us, into an unnecessary war in Iraq. I said then and I say now, that we would have been much better off, and saved thousands of American and Iraqi men and women's lives, if we had insisted on sending thousands of additional inspectors to Iraq to determine that there was in fact none of the WMD on which the war was based. In the meantime, Osama bin Laden who was actually responsible for 911, remains free. I recall apprehending bin Laden was Bush's promise too.

You’re Friend,
Jeff

PS--Maybe it's my computer, but I am experienced a huge time lag from typing and seeing my words appear n the screen. If this is just the way this website works, I may not be back, as it's really quite annoying :-)

President Bush

I think President Bush is a great man and he kept us safe for the last 8 years. The media did everything they could to make him look stupid and never gave him any credit for anything. Were there mistakes made, yes but he had the courage to do what he felt was the best to keep this country safe from another attack. The hate on the left for him was the worst I have ever seen. History will show that he was a good man and that he loved this country and knew that the job of the commander in chief is to protect the citizens of the United States above all else. He did that and I for one thank him.
