Rush Limbaugh
I don't care. Rush Limbaugh is a jackass that offers nothing constructive and he is a complete fraud. A large portion of his "fans" are so misguided and ignorant and he leads them on in there ignorant journey.
Most of the media is full of non-objective losers who just wish to impose their opinions. The left and the right are consistently guilty of character assasinations, lies, and b.s. You just pointed out one example of thousands.

Thanks for agreeing!
But is the character assassination of millions of people really necessary to make your point?

RE: Rush Limbaugh
I am sick of tired of left vs. right, democrat vs. republican, liberal vs. conservative. This country's government has been take over by corporations, private interests and lobbyists. Rush Limbaugh and the mass media is a big part of this 1984/Brave New World society we find ourselves in. As despicable as the president of Iran is, he does have a point when he tries to get people to ask bold questions about 9/11 and what really happened and who was behind it. I don't agree with him I just think the fact that we were sold all of these stories about Bin Laden and Al Qaida and Saddam Hussein by all of the talking heads and politicians is sad and scary at the same time. America's citizens deserve the truth but it seems we have none of it and our government and the corporations that run it are hiding quite a bit.

RE: Rush Limbaugh
Deep breath, my friend. I just want to thank you (again) for commenting - you are a beacon to others! :-)
Rush Limbaugh = mass media? Where do you get this silly idea from? They are polar opposites. His show, and talk radio in general, thrive because they CHALLENGE the mass media. Agree with him or not, it is a vibrant exercise in dissent.
Many many people would agree with your opinion on partisan bickering. And the influence of corporations, private interests and lobbyists on our elected officials really is an important factor in all of this. But let's not go overboard. Evoking Orwell and Huxley doesn't do anything to advance your point, they are overused to the point of irrelevance.
What "really happened" on 9-1-1 and who was "really behind it" is already known. What truth are you missing? What is hidden?

RE: Rush Limbaugh
Rush Limbaugh = mass media? Rush Limbaugh show is owned and produced by Premiere Radio Networks which is owned by Clear Channel, one of the largest media conglomerates in the world and the largest radio company in the world, not to mention the fact that Limbaugh has an audience of millions. If that is not mass media then I do not know what mass media is. He may criticize lots of people (including many character assasinations) but that does not meant dissent. He is on the far right and part of the private interest lobbyist corporate machine.
Evoking Orwell and Huxley is indeed true and not irrelevant. Look at how the federal government controls information and what is sent out to the public (mass media or otherwise). 9/11 is just an example, how about Iraq and all of the other countries and people that our government and foreign policy tangles with. Was Bin Laden involved in 9/11? Seems that way but what proof do we REALLY have and even so who is to say that maybe others involved with him or behind him. The Bush administration only recently decided that there may be something to this "global warming" idea. Just recently! The oil industry continues to bring in record-breaking profits (billions of dollars in profit, not just revenue) and we are in Iraq for oil, we mess with the middle east for oil. We have to contend with Russia and Venezuela and validate their insanity because they have oil. No one cares that we are going to destroy this planet. Record profits, lobbyists and crooked politicians ensure this. We are kept in a state of fear by our government to be controlled and go along with their selfish and uncaring plans. It is pathetic and all of the campaign promises you hear from everyone, even your beloved Rudy are all wastes of time, air and energy.

Contrary to what you may believe, dissent does not just refer to disagreement with the Predident of the moement and his/her war. Limbaugh is no more "owned" by Clear Channel than I am owned by AT&T. Know why his audience is so large? Ever heard of the "slient majority"?
America is a living, breathing creature of differing opinion. It is the worst example of 1984/Brave New World fulfillment you could possibly cite! By the way, they were authors of fictional books, not prophets. They, like you and I, have opinions. What's that old saying? Opinions are like...A-holes!
Sept. 11, 2001 is the most documented day in human history. Not even Stalin's USSR could keep a lid on the Truth of that day. What proof about Bin Laden is lacking? Ever hear him admit it? Multiple times???
So I take it you won't be voting next year for Hillary? Excellent!!

Alright so we have yet again gotten into a back and forth... Bottom line Rush Limbaugh is a jerkoff and the silent majority can kiss my rear end (I tried to write a$$ but this fascist website wouldn't let me :)). I will not be voting for Hillary and you could not pay me enough to do so. I will be voting for a 3rd party candidate, if only on prinicipal alone. Like you I am now a registered independent and do not foresee that changing.

I believe you have forgotten that we live in a free market demacracy established and based upon The Constitution. Your bias agaainst corporations makes no sense as an intelligent person who presents some logic in ones dialogue.
We are all fed up with our nonfunctioning government but our history has proven that a freedom based Republic will prevail. I truly hope this will happen in your generation,BUT: we might have to suffer through a period of failed Socialism, al a Western Europe.
Keep your faith and direct your energy with common sense It always works.
