More true today than when Will Rodgers first used it in his stand up act. The country is safest when Congress is not in session, I don't remember the exact quote but you get the idea. Congress is a collection of idiots, simply put....Will Rodgers was a smart man.

Hello Cindy, thanks for the comment. I am not so sure that all choices were bad. If Collins stayed in rank I am not sure they could have passed the bill and they would have to go back and do it better if not right. They are portraying the Republican party as the party of NO, as if they were a bad thing. Saying not to run away spending is not such a bad thing. Saying not to increasing the debt is not such a bad thing. What the Democratic party did is say no to the wishes of the American people. I do believe this is going to bite them in the rear come the 2010 mid terms and the 2012 Presidential election. I know in 2012 Senator Snow better start thinking of how she is going to spend all that pension money we will give her.
