Another area of silence

from mr.POTOTUShead is the deafening silence on the rise of muslim 'honor' killings in America. I guess it falls into the don't ask don't tell category. No liberal, man or woman, has taken on these decisions of muslim men to kill wives and daughters for some reason that they choose to 'honor.

Flag, well said

I'm sure it's no big surprise that I agree with you, ESPECIALLY on the tactics and strategy the Incredibly Stupid Party needs to adopt to start succeeding.

I really loved the analogy to Mississippi Burning. Captured the situation TO A TEE!

Well, to paraphrase

Sean Connery from the Untouchables:

"Trust the GOP to bring a knife to a gunfight!"

Except that they don't usually even bring the knife, and actually don't even show up for the fight very often, but instead send a note of apology.

Another good post. Don't hold your breath waiting for that "taxpayer windfall". Ain't happening.Anything that MAY come out of this will simply be pizsed away on something else. The "Peace Dividend" ring a bell?

HAhahahaha, Philosoph!

Gaaawwwwddd.....

That was hilarious!

BTW, Flag

I quoted your Miss Burning analogy on the Golberg thread and credited you, with link.

FYI

Flag,

good post and I agree 100%!

Hey, the "stupid party" ain't called the "stupid party" for nothing,...I don't think they'll EVER learn.

I'm soooo sick of the cowardly jackasses.

Flag,

It's finally up at my place.

Lets see, we will never see the money. In fact part of that crack economic task forces is not too optimistic they will get the money back from GM. No way, really!

And how come they keep "investing" all of this money, but no one can say how we the tax payers would get it back? A roll of quarters?

Replies the writer...

MD: You have to remember that wilth liberals ethics are elastic; honor killings cannot be spoken of since they are part of the "religion of peace" and we cannot disturb that 'minority' group, while the voices speak out about it are to be silenced as they are practicing 'hate speech'. Remember, libs do not have any set rules of right or wrong...just whatever fits their needs that day.

Brian: Thanks for the plug, but we can just about forget the GOP doing anything so smart as opposing the Democrats. They cannot stand success so they seem damned determined to avoid it!

Phil: Exactly right! The GOP 'leadership' won't fight back and is always apologizing for not being on time for their daily butt-whipping.

Clyde: I'm not waiting for anything, since the politicians on both sides only really talk about 'taxpayer money' when they are either pointing fingers at the other guys for wasting the money they steal from us, or they're justifying their plans to waste the money they steal from us!

Taz: Sadly it seems that all we have in the GOP 'leadership' are fools and cowards. Witness the rush to the middle, the abandonment of any conservative principles in the pursuit of a winning election, and the attempts to marginalize any conservative voices in the party.

Sue: I would take a roll of quarters if they'd offer it, but that ain't gonna happen! That money is gone down the rat hole and ain't coming back! We have been robbed and no one is going to help us!

Buck's 2 Cents' Worth

1. Your "deposit" is coming. Just bend over and grab your ankles.
2. Bush's "..Islam is a peaceful religion.." rang about as true as, "..These are just decent, honest people who come here for jobs no American will do.." to me, who lost 2 jobs to illegals. Oh, yeah, Bush-o, Does the Pearl family understand that, "..Islam is a peaceful religion.."?
3. Yeah, we condemn women for wearing ..as Joy Behar says, "the muslim outfit"..so mucyh we allow muslim women to have their driver's license taken while wearing that veil thing...
4. Islam has been at war with us for a long time. The problem is folks in this country have been so sheltered from the horrors of war for so long they have NO understanding of war. Since the closest most people today have been to war at home is "Gone With The Wind" or John Wayne's "Pony Soldiers" they are in for a rude shock. They don't realize that War Has No Rules! Postwar has rules but they only apply to the losing side.
5. For so long politician presidents have fallen over themselves trying to get the "first" on the SCOTUS. First was Thurgood Marshall who was a so-so jurist. Then Sandra O'Connor who was a backstabber...BUT they were firsts! Now it is Sotomayor who is Hispanic. Tell me, WHAT THE DEUCE HAPPENED TO SELECTING THE MOST QUALIFIED without regard to race, creed or gender?????????????
6. Mainstay argument by the left for not carrying the war to the enemy in the same way they carry it to us..."..then we would

Hey Buck

I like all your points, but the one about people not understanding what war is like really rings true. We have no idea what it means because it is "over there" and the soldiers (catchall term)are people many of us don't know. When that happens we don't see them as people but as chess pieces to me manipulated by others, which fuels the idea that one can "support the troops" while describing the war they fight as a crime against humanity. I have known people I went to high school with who fought in the first Gulf War, family members who fought in Grenada, a female cousin who served in Kuwait, and my brother's NG unit was almost called up to fight in Iraq. So I know the feelings attached to war and the anxiety felt for people you know who are fighting and in harm's way. But too many of us here at home have no idea of those feelings and anxieties, so we do not understand what it means to be at war. But we had better figure it out or we will be defeated on the battlefield because of the foolish thinking we harbor about the nature of war and the nature of our enemies.
