No Military, No USA

I for two hope not

The world is a dangerous place. If you say, in advance, that we will not try to punish any attackers, then you invite all bullies to come and do so.

Until Jesus returns, my second sentence will remain true, period.

Gray Ghost - Thanks For Your Comment

I appreciate your comment this morning, and welcome you to bookmark my blog URL, as I write new conservative posts frequently.

I have written extensively on the subject of pacifism, and why it is not always the right choice. You are absolutely right about pacifists opening the door to bullies. Jihadists love pacifists because they know that door is always open.

Pacifism is not the answer -1

But, neither is war mongering. I would not trust a President for one minute who wanted to disarm us, or who did not advocate peace through strength. To me, it's absolutely ludicrous to take the stance that if we were attacked, or an imminent threat existed to our national security, that we would not take quick and decisive action.

Unfortunately, our national security is not the goal of what this administration is pursuing. If it was, they would have secured our ports and borders, long ago. They would have stayed focused on taking out our attackers, who have now escaped to Pakistan and rebuilt. They would have enforced our immigration laws, instead of trying to cram amnesty and open borders down our throats; not to mention allowing Mexican trucks to freely enter our country with God knows what, on board.

Instead, we attacked a country who had nothing whatsoever to do with 9-11, and whose leader as distasteful as he was, was a sworn enemy of our attackers, not to mention served as a check on Iran. Does this make sense to anyone? Now, we are threatening yet another sovereign nation who did not attack our own and we have been told we will never leave Iraq. Does anyone honestly believe that there were EVER plans to do so? There are, at last check, 16 permanent bases in Iraq. We are told that we cannot leave Iraq, because we must help the current government and because Iran might take over. Is anyone thinking they didn't know this would happen, when they went in? If you do, you should listen to Cheney talking about just that thing in '94. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BEsZMvrq-I

We now have a battered military, many of our border guards and national guard have been sent to Iraq. Who exactly is available to protect our OWN country, eh?

Our country is bankrupt and the value of our dollar is toppling. The Constitution has been ripped to shreds and the Executive Orders, Presidential Directives and legislation have been put in place such that the President can declare himself a Dictator for just about any reason he chooses. Some of you may think they will never use the laws they passed. I will ask you in return, why they enacted them, if they never planned on them being used. Food for thought.
