The real truth to this nonsense of Pelosis is what its always about with libs, getting more of some productive sector of the economys money, pure and simple, its about money. The government is always the real winner here since it gets the tax revenue without having to to squat about getting the oil out of the ground and turning it into a product. Liberals and all leftists tax the heck out of individuals and businesses for two distinct purposes.

1. To have more money at their disposal to spend on vote buying projects.

2. To exercise undue power over the taxed.

For writing this. Most folks don't have the slightest idea how gas prices are formulated or why--or that many enviro-policies actually work against lower prices (to say nothing of the fuel taxes).
