Why republicans should embrace the Fairness Doctrine

Advocate free speech with censorship?

Embracing the doctrine of censorship is exactly the kind of strategy that got America into this mess. If you believe that it is fundamentally immoral for governments to own your right to free speech, why would you ever accept it as a plausible strategy?

You would, by your own admission, be committing and immoral act. You would be handing your free speech into the care of Barack Obama, and in the process, handing him every other right that God gave us.

And after we've given in and allowed Democrats to silence Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, who will stop them from striking the part of the law that applies to newspapers and TV?

"Getting them back" is a strategy that only works when you are 12 years old playing tag in your yard. However, when you are dealing with fascist statists, it doesn't. It becomes a form of appeasement and an invitation to your own hanging.

Not exactly...

I think you may have misunderstood my point. If the republicans push for their own version of the Fairness Doctrine, maybe the libs will see how absurd and unconstitutional it is to silence any form of free speech. Here's hoping.
