It is Dave Magnum who is out of touch with reality. The entire nation is trying to figure out what to do about the mess that is Iraq. The "cut and run" rhetoric is not constructive. After spending $500 billion and causing a civil war, it is obvious we can do better.

Domestically Dave's fuzzy math doesn't cut it either. We need to insure the uninsured, cut drug costs due to drug company monopolies, and restore affordability to health care generally. Magnum's proposals are do not address the needs of working people -- especially the underinsured.

It is clear Magnum is not the guy to challenge Tammy Baldwin. Perhaps Republicans will field a candidate who is more in step with the sensibilities of this congressional district in 2008. Magnum's attempted makeover has been a specatacular failure.

On the other hand, Tammy Baldwin has proved to be wise in the course she's charted. It will take some fresh thinking and a better candidate than Magnum to even have a chance at unseating her. She represents this district very well!
