No, really. All those posters with people, chins held high, gazing boldly forward to the future with a vague hopeful stare.
As I said, all political posters remind me of that, not just Obama.
I have a guess here. You are an Obama fan, right? Otherwise you would have read the next sentence and seen I was not suggesting anything about Obama.
Well, welcome to the blog, anyway. And thanks for the post, though I think you should have finished reading the whole thing before frothing at the mouth.

Actually, I picked it up from another blog. Wish I had kept the link so I could credit them as well, but I forget where I found it.

Then Again...
If Ronnie is going to get upset when I compare this to Soviet propaganda art, I wonder what he would say if I had mentioned that I think one of the Smith Brothers, of cough drop fame, looks a little like those profile portraits of Lenin that appeared on Soviet-era editions of his writings? Or that, when he was cleaned up, Bakunin looked a little like PAul Prudhomme?
Hopefully no one will read much into those strange observations.

And, a really strange one, but Charles Krauthammer looks a lot like Moe from the Simpsons.
What does that mean?

Obama Poster
Why shouldn't it look like and old Soviet poster, since Obama is a Marxist. The real Manchurian Candidate.

I still can't explain the Smith Brothers though. No way communists could make decent cough drops. The Soviets couldn't even figure out how to make cigarettes right. Paper and tobacco. How hard is that?
On a more serious note, Obama is definitely on the extreme left of the Democrat party. Whether that makes him Marxist or not depends on who is talking and how they define it. I am certain he doesn't think he is Marxist, but I don't doubt that his beliefs and Marx's differ very little. (Though Marx's views on race and his are probably worlds apart. Despite his reputation on the left, Marx was known as quite a racist. Somehow this never comes up among college Marxists.)
But whether or not he is formally a Marxist, he definitely would do what he could to move the US far to the left if elected.
Thanks for the post. I don't recall seeing your name before, so welcome to the blog. (If you have written before, then sorry for my shoddy memory.)

You're welcome.
Thanks for the comment, brief as it was, and welcome to the blog. Please come back and read more when you have time.
Hardly the first time my response was several times the length of the comment (far from it, given how wordy I can be), but I think this may be the biggest difference in length.
