I Should Digress for a Few Moments

There is a 3rd option

There is a 3rd option when dealing with liberals...it can be summed up in two words--scorched Earth.

I coined the term "ideological bigotry" to describe a hatred of people simply for being conservatives or republicans. The word "bigot" stings, and should be used very carefully. Being liberal does not automatically make one a bigot. However, when I hear ideological bigotry, I simply tell them what they are, and watch them stammer. They are so used to dishing it out, but decking the bully between the eyes, etc, etc.

Also, when they bring up Hitler I say, "Hitler tried to kill my dad." That shuts them up quickly.

I am polite, but not delicate. I am a battering ram, and it works.

I am contacting conservative bloggers around the country since I am one as
well. I hope this email is not an intrusion.

Thank you.

P.S. If you are open to doing a link exchange, I get some pretty decent traffic.

Converting them...

Have you ever converted a liberal?

Now this may seem like an unrelated question but isn't it completely stupid how liberals absolutely hate the government but in the same breath they propose that the solution to all of our problems is for the government to run everything? I used that question to convert a liberal. She went from claiming liberalism as her creed to labeling herself a libertarian. It took a couple of weeks but once she finally started to use reason she was able to funnel her anti-government emotion into proper reasoning for less government. I think she even registered as a libertarian!

In all fairness, I have to admit that she occasionally has emotional relapses into liberal ideology and has to be reminded once again to funnel those anti-government feelings into less-government logic. Liberalism is like a bad drug; it's hard to permanently stay away from it if one has been immersed in it, arguing with nothing but passion and emotion their whole life. I need to get her hooked on something else like conservative blogs or something because I don't know if I can be her permanent support group. One of her relapses could be permanent. Hopefully she'll beat it eventually though.
