I think you are probably right. Thompson will get the nomination, and he is a much better choice than whoever the dims come up with.

Still, I feel it's a little like a slow death versus quick. He's a RINO. I would rather Duncan Hunter than anybody else.

Actually RINO is a worn out phrase. The republican party has gone where we see them. Very few represent the conservative base, so the RINOS are now the republican party, as if we had a choice.

I am constantly saying that we need to give "NO" money to the party, national or state. We hold the money and give to our candidate of choice for the primaries. The DIMS would be well advised to do the same.

You recall, of course, how the two parties switched sides 30 or 40 years ago. Well, they can do it again, and just laugh at us for sucking it up.

Break the back of the machine, not the party, the party machine. Take control locally of who we send to Washington. Then we'll have our party back and in line again.

I guess you must support either HillBillary, or Obama, or even the Rudy McRomney machine. Oh I can go as far as a Ron Paul conspiriatorial supporter.

If you have read my previous postings, which both of you have most certainly didn't, you would have seen the struggle for me to not support a Ron Paul, or a Tom Tancredo, a Duncan Hunter, or even a Mike Huckabee.

And I have stated my disagreements with Fred Thompson. But, I happen to agree with him more times than not. As much as I would prefer a Duncan Hunter to win, we have to face reality.

I was on the Pat Buchanan campaign in 1996. I was his Presidential Delegate to the Republican National Convention in my district. The Bob Dole faction had undermined our chances of getting our message out, and the media had unleashed their myth machine full force against us. So I know what I am talking about when it comes to campaigns. After thirty years in politics, I hate every minute of it, but in order to protect our Second Amendment rights, I declare an all out war , winning at all cost, and damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

But I have made it very clear that I will not support Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, or Mitt Romney. I personally don't like Rudy and McCain for personal reasons, and I don't like MItt because he is a polished slick salesman with a forked tongue.

But attacking me isn't going to solve anything. I have attacked candidates in the past when they are wothy of it. And I will continue to do it again. But coming to my blog, and attacking me for my beliefs, well if it makes you more of a man to do such a thing, then go for it. But you better get your facts straight when you accuse me of being a RINO, or working for the DemocRats.
You do not know me, and you had better watch your accusations with your holier than thou attitude. If it is a fight you want, name a time and place, and have the courage to say it to my face, one on one. Otherwise shut your piehole.
Don't hide behind a computer logon in anonymity.

So if you want to debate issues, that's fine. But the namecalling one person is just juvenile.
