Politically Correct Speech

It has gotten pretty damned silly has it not? Political correctness has a more insidious side. It is a restriction on our first amendment rights and, it forces people to speak around things; to not say what they really mean; to not mean what they appear to be saying.

It is up to us to not be bullied into using PC speech. Say exactly what you mean in clear terms. This is not being rude, it is being forthright!

"The Realist "

The Realist

The campaign for PC speech is much more malevolent than that. It is said to exist to keep from offending people. The reality of it is that if you do not use PC terms then your views will be considered inflammatory and "hate speech". PC speech is another velvet hammer used to silence opposing views. From the Left’s point of view, you should be able to say anything you want, so long as “they” agree with your point of view. Of course the rest of us understand that freedom of speech means not just that you have the right to express your point of view, but also that you also have the obligation to acknowledge that someone else has the right to say things that you not only don’t agree with, but may not even want to hear. Freedom of speech is there to protect us from exactly the type of control that PC speech is meant to establish.

Blasphemy, blasphemy, I say. There is no Obama (God) and the emperor may have clothes, but it is only an empty suit.
