Fascinating scenarios. Gave me reason to pause and quickly examine my own perceptions and opinions. I always appreciate being challenged in that way.

However comma abortion on demand is still murder, IMO. In addition to a the biological and moral issues, I spent too much time with women who reached their mid-30s and 40s and suffered deep guilt.

BTW, your biography is most interesting. If you have answered this before, my apologies ... what led to the change in your political leanings? You are so young so I am curious.

When you have a moment, come by my corner of the TH blogosphere. My posts vary.

Children

don't necessarily have a 'monster' gene that can be identified. There is so much that goes into how children are raised and the individual choices they make as they grow up.

It may be trite, but think back to the old movie, 'It's A Wonderful Life.' How lives would have been changed if one person were never born. God can use even the most evil person for good in some way.

I prefer to let God lead and believe all children are gifts from God. How we use and nurture God's gifts are the choices He allows us to have.

Fascinating post. Makes me think.

my opposition to abortion

comes from two angles.

First, I was adopted at birth because abortion was still illegal at the time.

Second, I look at it with Constitutional alw and simple logic. Roe v. Wade was argued and decided based upon a "Constitutional right of privacy."
a) Such a right does not exist in the Constitution.
b) Even if it did, what does "privacy" have to do with murdering babies? Jeffrey Dahmer killed, and ate, in the "privacy" of his apartment. Does that make him any less a murderer?
