What about....?

Has anybody wondered how many civilians died in bombing raids in Europe during WWII? How many "innocent civilians" died because of indiscrimnate carpet bombings? This is a war. This is one of the ugly things that happens in a war. DO we not fight evil just because people will get hurt? The only way to avoid civilian casualtied is to go back to the old way of fighting and haveing the armies meetup at an open field and go at it. I don't see Hizbollah, Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, Iran, or Syria volumteering for this.
