I'll run a copy of this to keep at my lib re-education camp that I have at my business. I keep as many of these as I can in order to have facts to counteract the kool-aid. I've made some real progress with some, especially the UAW workers that have lost jobs directly from 0's actions. This past weekends case is one of the 'as long as I get something, I'm happy.'

We've got TV ads running these days in the Philly/Atlantic City market about Caesars and Bally's being anti-union, which means they aren't treating their workers with fairness. Yet somehow they don't have a problem getting people to work for the wages that they are offering.

The union that is in charge of the casino workers is the UNITED AUTO WORKERS. What in the *#^%@ does dealing blackjack have to do with making a pick-up truck?

My daughter is a supervisor at UPS. The people she supervises off load the planes. These people are teamsters. Go figure.

I'm one of the few Americans still out there who don't hate President W. Bush. But on economics he was a complete diaster. Particularly with the SEC being headed by Christopher Cox, by far the worst SEC chairman in it's history.

But disgressing. President Bush allowed the crazy spending in D.C. to continue for all eight years of his presidency. He vetoed his first spending bill SCHIP (SCHIP!!!) in 07 after the Dems had won.

We are not becoming a Marxist nation but we are a socailistic one. In many ways the business communtiy is to blame for this by constantly pushing for free trade they hurt the American economy by helping their bottom line. In order for conservatism to move foward we have to acknowledge the failure of Bush (in ecomonics) put simply he made government bigger than Bill Clinton. That is his legacy.

The crash of the economy wasn't totally the fault of free trade and business. You could call it Tortious interference by the government and that would be a more accurate desciption. For years the government has been pushing bad loans on banks, trying everything they could to take the bait. During the Clinton years the left actually got into the intimidation business, threatening to mark banks as racist and even physically intimidating banking officials into making quota with minority loans. Once they started taking them it was like crack, they were easy and this started a chain of events that lead us where we are today. Sub prime loans always have been a bad idea, you don't loan money to people that don't pay their bills.
