Comment on: Obama Can

Why I'm voting for OBAMA! Yes he CAN!

Obamacan, you can’t be serious?

With all due respect, you start with two items on which we can agree, McCain’s position on ANWR and the “Gang of Fourteen.” Both were wrong, in my opinion. But, then you bring up the Keating issue, where he was largely exonerated. And you prefer Obama? Have you read his “Blueprint for Change?” He is the very definition of a socialist. You don’t have any concerns about his associations with Ayers, Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko? And his only real accomplishments (and few they are) are in the area of race. Look at his time as community organizer, civil rights attorney, his state senate career and the only two bills he sponsored in the U.S. Senate that actually became law – all race related. He has NO other accomplishments to recommend him. Please tell me why you choose him over McCain/Palin – I’m really interested to know. Regards,
G.

Yes he CAN!

Absolutely! I do not agree with hardly anything Obama stands for but if I have to vote for a democrat, I'm going to vote for a democrat not a RHINO.

I don't believe his relationship with Keating was exonerated, there was no prosecution or 'evidence' of wrong doing but there's no doubt he was one of Keating's conections in the Senate and he was the ONLY republican to be implicated in the scandal and only McCain and Glenn even ran for re-election.

I honestly think McCain will win this November, but I'm not voting for him.

I certainly am not anymore concerned with Obama's association with Ayers, Wright or Rezko than you seem to be with McCain's association with Keating but my point is Obama's a democrat and while I'm sure the disasters to come will be blamed on GW at least they'll happen in a democratic administration and not a RHINO's!

I do appreciate that we can have a civil

discussion on the issue - thanks for that. While I agree that McCain was not lilly-white on the issue, the investigating committee said that they "declared his actions were not "improper nor attended with gross negligence." If you're interested, here's a link to the Arizona Republic newspaper's article coving the issue:

But, I do worry about you willing to accept any supreme court appointments that the next prez may have to make - you'll be satisfied with Obamas? Even after both candidates named their least favorite justices on the Saddlaback forum?
Those appointments can affect the country for many years - another one or two Ginsburgs are ok?

I'm not part of the I hate America crowd

Well I don't think we can expect all that much from McCain, to be honest, I don't think he's that far right of Hellary, his choices for the Supreme Court isn't going to make that much of a difference to get me to vote for him.

I understand anyone not voting for Obama, but American owes him a lot just because he got rid of Hillary, I just want to make sure she's not back in 4 years.

I can agree with that

I didn't want Hillary either - so we can agree on that! I can respect your decision, whatever it is - may not agree, but will respect. Regards,
G.

Supreme Court Justices

If it weren't for the fact that the next POTUS will assign 2 or 3 Supreme Court Justices, I wouldn't care who was elected.

This country cannot survive a liberal Congress, a liberal President and a liberal Supreme Court.
