"Moral" Basis of Liberalism

Good post

Liberals live in the Platonic world of perfect forms, and therefore do not have to take into consideration reality.

The irony is that Plato is a founder of mysticism, regardless of the esteem he is held in by those who just know him as a philosopher without inquiring into the nature of his thought.

Thus "rational, hardheaded" Liberalism is basically an ideology of blind faith rooted in magical thinking. And all the problems that flow from it derive from their willful blindeness to the real world.

Thoughtful remarks, indeed ..

.. and thanks for providing the link to my blog.

BTW, I will add 'Libertylamp' to my blogroll shortly.

"Universal Healthcare"

First and foremost, that phrase must be stopped unless we are to cover every man, woman, and child on Earth. It is National Healthcare, which is probably why the libs do not use that term.

Wow!

An ex-president posting on my blog! Will wonders never cease? Fame and fortune await, but no worries, I shall still find time to post here as needed.

Yes, Mr. President, National Healthcare is more appropriate, but it is what we already have. I use it for ease of discussion, but accurately National Health INSURANCE would be more correct, as anyone can walk into any ER and depending on your condition either
a) walk out stable
b) die
c) end up a vegetable maintained on the public support.

I've seen them all. Its not the care that is the issue, its "who pays for it?"

Shameless plug: check out my feature post on healthcare... I explain a bit more...
