Top 20 things Americans should know, but don't1

Propaganda

Since when is wikipedia a reliable resource? I guarantee that each one of these assumptions are easily refuted. You have no idea what you are talking about and I suggest you not believe everything you find on the internet.

Superstory

Of my 17 provided links, only 2 were from wikipedia. The resst I assure you are very reputable even by your lofty standards. I'm sure you think everything on Townhall isn't propaganda.

Well now 1

1) there is nothing secret about who is on it. The discussions are kept secret to stop people from gaining unfair market advantages what is wrong with that? Don't we want our monetary policy set by people with expertise in banking? That is why we have the Fed.

3) Try reading the constitution. Little thing called the 16th Amendment. Says right there "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

4) is an opinion about social programs

Inflation is not a tax, Costs of products change higher and lower based on many things. tax is money to gov. Infaltion is change in cost of products. Source any dictionary. Look it up. :)
If the main or sole source of inflation was monetary supply then all infaltion would move at same rate it doesnt.
More to follow

well now 2

Every credible intelligence agency said there were WMD in Iraq at the start of the War. Clinton attacked Iraq because he believed it. Bush Did also. that he at one time had them and used them is beyond doubt. look up

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halabja_poison_gas_attack

Also they were not in compliance with UN resolutions which is why the UN authorized force along with our Senate.

In regards to AQ and Iraq link. Read the 9/11 commision report. this in the washington times in connection with AQ. The staff report said that bin Laden "explored possible cooperation with Iraq" while in Sudan through 1996, but that "Iraq apparently never responded" to a bin Laden request for help in 1994. The commission cited reports of contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda after bin Laden went to Afghanistan in 1996,"

Then answer this question. Did we not go to war against terrorist sponsoring nations and did not Saddam hussein pay money to homicidal bombers familes that blew themselves up? (hint you might want to google it)
name one lie President Bush told about the Iraq War?

The claims of Millions of Iraqi dead by Coalition forces the majority women and children is a claim that has no validity in actual life in Iraq. In fact the article you listed clearly shows it is a lie so why post it? ROFL

Your article on us out of Iraq is from 2006. Things on the ground here are much different now. The elected Gov of Iraq wants us here.

To funny
suggest you read my blog on Ron Paul

cant watch U TUBE

Cant watch U TUBE since i am in IRAQ but I can tell you first hand experience that Combat treatment of our soldiers by KBR is first rate. Not sure what you are seeing on the U tube so cant address a specific issue. If it is medical issue then it seems strange because our hospitals and aid stations are not KBR (same with our meddevac).

Oh and what are the bush Lies? I am still waiting.

Again

Yes, the panel does have members who meet and their discussions are secret. Even the topic of the discussion is not released. What do you want to dig your own hole here? I seriously doubt a topic of the discussion couldn't be released. Oh and the SEC makes sure all companies in the market release their finance reports, wow you'd think the Fed would too.

Again, like I said the founders never apportioned for such a tax read the 4th amendment where it says congress shall enact no law allowing a direct tax.

An opinion held by many economists...... Where did I say it was a fact?

Oh and like I said the founders never intended there to be a direct wage tax. Section 9:
No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Funny, you can't watch U Tube because you are in Iraq, wonder why that is.

Nah since you're responding to comments I made in your blog, I guess I'll respond here. KBR and Haliburton have given you guys bad water, long meal lines, crappy support in every way yet charged 35 times what it actually costs. The videos I posted show employees who came out to speak against KBR's horrible treatment of soldiers in Iraq.

It's excerpts from http://iraqforsale.org/

We drink bottled water

We drink bottled water cause the local water is not healthy and sometimes the showers run out of hot water, oh those guys from KBR are evil. Of course we do the same in every modern conflict. I don't even see any relevence to it.

Every Friday night we get Steak, lobster and shrimp. Usually the Lobster is overcooked. That is terrible sin by KBR. I have eaten in the dinning facilities (used to be called mess hall) in the US bases and here in Iraq, and Kosovo and Bosnia. I do not know a single person here who prefers a Dinning facility at a stateside base.

Yes there are sometimes long lines at the Dinning Facility, when i go to lunch i will have a 5 or ten minute wait to get ID card checked by Soldier then a 5-10 min wait inside to get to serving line. On Thanksgiving it was particularly long about a block to get in and 20-25 min wait. Oh the Humanity of it. Was this really something to complain about? Is that a function of the size of the Dinning Facility vs number of people or KBR?

We are in IRAQ. Iraq is a horrible country in my opinion. DUST and sand that is unbelievable. HEAT like an oven, in the rainy season mud. The culture here is much different then ours. Everything is done slower. I had to wait six months to get internet in my room and then it is slwo and expensive. But i am AT WAR, the fact i an access internet in my room is INCREDIBLE at all. Military internet access was instaled by soldiers and contractors as soon as we were here.

On framers and Constitution

The framers never intended for a Income tax it is true. The Framers lived in 1790. I live in 2007. Life is different now. Requires different solutions. The framers never intended to abolish slavery or give women and blacks the right to vote. yet we now have these things.

They were great men but did not come up with a PERFECT document. it was more perfect then what they had previously. "in order to form a MORE erfect Union" the Founders knew it was not perfect and hence made provisions for ammendments. Thus the 16th ammendment is constitutional and Income taxes are.

The country is BETTER today then it was in 1800.

If you read my Ron Paul blog you will see many reasons I don't support him. I liken his platform to the Amish. They are great people but they live life like it was biblical times Ron Paul wants to live life like it is colonial times. The world has moved on.

With your limited internet

I have no way of proving anything to you. Oh well such is life.

I also don't have anymore time left to attempt to convince people who obviously don't understand Ron Paul's positions, nor do they care. Sorry, I can't help you, there are just too many others I have to get to who are far more moderate.

Letter from a JR CPT

Thanks for the letter from the JR CPT. The letter you sent stated that the individual had beem on the Army for 42 Months. This is the minimum amount of time a "basic" branch officer can serve and become a CPT (Drs Lawyers get it faster). The opinions of an extremely Junior CPT are by no means authorative.

He makes some valid observations on Iraq and some that are not valid.

First he says the majority of "surge" troops are in Baghdad. This is not true. The Majority of "Surge" troops are in the areas around Baghdad in the Provinces cutting off the flow of weapons and munitions into Baghdad and establishing small Patrol bases to build alliances with the people.

The Surge brought over an additional 5 Brigades and a Division HQ. 3 of the 5 BDEs are not in Baghdad and the Div HQ is but a HQ is not considered "Combat" troops.

He is correct that the continuation of current Policy aka the The Surge is working.

Then again he claims that the method we used was unconstitutional. It is an old trick of the cut and run crowd to tell that lie but it is not true. We can be here with a declaration of force. President Jefferson the Founding Father and key writer of the Constitution went to fight the Moslem Nations of his day with a congressional authorization of Force.

I believe he knew a thing about the Const.

Also that just because they have had a Dictator doesnt mean that democracy here wont work. It is succeeding.

Tinsldr2

It's unconstitutional to go to war for UN resolutions. If it's an old trick by the left to use that excuse than they don't use it much.
