I thought I would do something that was happening at the moment instead of my usual, whatever comes to my mind, bit.

I think I caught Christianlib's tongue on this subject as once I pulled out all the stops in a thread about 1-2 weeks ago, he slid away. The evidence is there on the government, now its time to stick it to them!

what makes me chuckle is all the finger pointing...from both sides of the aisle.In my 50 plus decades on this planet,I have never seen a situation like this that so blatently illustrates who the slimey weasels in Washington really are working for.These clods are talking about a 1 trillion dollar bailout that my greatgrandkids will be paying for.What a legacy.Those greedy buzzards ought to be ashamed...

Sorry I haven't been by lately. Work has been really tough these last couple of weeks; I have jobs in Belzoni, Yazoo City, and Coahoma County (Don't you love the names in Mississippi? It took me until I was 13 to learn how to spell alot of them, and I grew up here.) that are keeping me running.

You are also correct that this has been building for years. The decisions made in the 1970's are "haunting" us.

Thanks for stopping by. Right on...them bailing out the banks will not make this go away. Instead of just delays the inevitable. This money will have to be paid back sometime. Ignoring the reason for this debacle, I can understand why they are doing it. The banks need the money now, while the government can keep the economy going and try to pay it back later. All these debts owed by our government will come due at some time and we had better hope people don't all call in their debts at one time, or we will be in for a huge crisis. It will make this one look like nothing.
