Small Town America Forgotten

I live in a small town, too - maybe not as rural as yours, but it's small (pop. about 7,000). I'm in Tx (thus, the name), and as it's almost guaranteed a "red" state, we don't see much of the candidates, either. I don't think McCain/Palin have "forgotten" us - but I think they count on us, and know we are there. There is no way two people can make it all the county fairs in the US, much as they wish they could. Don't you know Sarah would rather be eating a funnel cake or hunting with some of you great Michiganders than sitting across a table with Katie Couric? Sure, she would. So, have faith, and don't feel neglected; they depend on us and, I believe, they know we are out here...all of us living in "fly-over land"!

Welcome and thanks for visiting. I don't think I said this clearly. I don't feel neglected that they haven't been coming to our local fair. My point is that I feel that this is an important constituency. I further feel that this is theirs to win overwhelmingly. I just don't feel they are exploiting this enough.
