His Nobel Peace Prize notwithstanding, Algore is typical of today's liberal politicians given to bombast but no substance, as illustrated by the quotations above.

Perhaps Bush should have responded when those utterances were made. But yesterday, the President, who customarily honors the nation's Nobel Prize winners, showed himself to be the better man by including Gore with the other honorees.
