Shifting the Fairtax Debate

Make April 15 Another Spring Day

You're right on, David.

I trust you don't mind that I put a link to this posting on the Yahoo! Texas Fair Tax Group site (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/txfairtax/) and sent a note about it to all group members.

Are you a member of the Yahoo! Georgia Fair Tax Group? If not, your post makes me think you ought to be. I suspect you could find it by just substituting "ga" for "tx" in the above URL.

By all means

Thanks for the link. If I can keep the morale of other Fairtax fans high, that is good enough for me. Hopefully, this will also give them ammunition as they spread the Fairtax in the great, sovereign, state of Texas (which btw is the only other state in the nation I have a desire to live in).

One more thing...

I have written 2 other posts on the Fairtax, so scroll down to the last page and you should see a post "Bringing the Fairtax Battle to the States" and one other.

Well said

I tend to run into the same "They like the idea...but" responses as well. I think a lot of people tend to reflexively reject any change that seems radical in its scope, even when the specific points they raise are not particularly hard to address. Perhaps an unfortunate representation of the publics modern day lack of creative ability.

Fairtax Nonsense

Saying the fair tax isn't perfect, is like saying those little pills that supposedly turn water into gas aren't perfect.

Fairtax doesn't even slow down at stupid. Who on earth really thinks -- other than Neal Boortz -- that you can make the government pay itself 500 billion dollars?

Neal Boortz writes "The federal government itself will become a MAJOR TAXPAYER."

Hello -- anyone home? This is a complete and utter farce. And its not the ONLY farce in the fairtax charade.
