If Justice Kennedy doesn't
change his previous votes in cases like this, then the replacement of o'Connor, who was the 5th vote in the cases that restrict free speech rights for religious speech, with Alito will reverse all the cases that caused the lawsuits.

True Separation of Church and State
The first word of the first amendment, which guarantees freedom of religion is Congress. Contress shall make no law establishing or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Paraphrased version, but accurate as to the first word. That means that the government can't establish a state religion, but that anyone else can worship as they please, where they please and when they please. The ACLU is totally wrong in what they say and those who believe what they say probably went to a public school and don't attend religious services anywhere. There was no such thing as a "wall of separation of church and state" until 1947 when Hugo Black and the Supreme Court at that time made it up based on a brief filed by the Communist head of the ACLU. His name is Roger Balwin. Almost the entire original board of the ACLU were communists. If you want to read about the ACLU to learn what they really are trying to do, get the book titled "Indefensible" by Sam K...smidt. The phrase "separation of church and state is NOT found in the Constitution or any other government document. It was found in a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist church that had concerns about the government interfering with their religious services. Thomas Jefferson was reassuring them that there was a wall of separation between the church and state, preventing the state from controlling religious services, but definitely NOT preventing the church from influencing the state. Thomas Jefferson attended the nations largest church of that day for the next 7 years after writing that letter. That church's services were held in the Capitol Building in Washington D. C. No separation of church and state there and certainly no denial of the use of government buildings for religious purposes. The ACLU has as one of it tenets, Article 57 from the Communist Manifesto and after banning Communists from their board in the 1930's, they lifted that ban in 1967 and are currently trying to do from inside this country what the Communists couldn't do from outside our country.
Thank you for listening.

Seperation of Church and State
You're absolutely correct that the phrase "Seperation of Church and State" in not in the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson's intent in using the phrase was just the opposite of how the Libs now try to exploit it. See my piece "Seperation of Church and Taliban?"
