ok, first off-- I'm procrastinating because finals are coming up.

secondly-- I don't have a well-articulated argument here because I spent all my smart-juice on final essays

thirdly-- I'm curious about how you view the criminality of the acts COMMITTED which lead some women to pregnancy.

If a woman is raped, then a CRIMINAL act of violence has been committed against her. Unlike stolen property, she has no ability to get back what was taken from her. I'm not advocating an eye-for-an-eye system, but I'm not sure that it's ok to condemn women who seek abortions for this reason because they're acting in a criminal manner.

I imagine your argument will be that if someone is murdered, and their relative seeks revenge, that relative is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I'm not going to go with the "that's not fair" defense. What I will say is that I'm not sure it's alright to call a woman a murderer who never consented to conceiving the life in the first place.

I don't know...it wasn't a very strong argument, but that's that-- finals season!
