George Tiller shot to death at church this morning

I agree

Regardless of the man's actions, it is never right to assassinate someone. This only elevates the pro-choice crowd's argument that pro-life is somehow illegitimate and extreme. It will do nothing substantial to change the debate and will have committed a great wrong.

Thanks Brett....

Those of us who are against abortion and the actions of Tiller's killer must be vocal in our position.

I'm glad they have the guy now and he will be held accountable for his actions.

As an aside

While I can disagree with the idea of a murder of any person..
I have consistently found it odd that Dr Tiller was given a position as an usher within his church. Church officials are in theory held to a higher standard, except in this case.

boaz

I understand your point, but I would counter with the point that the church has a right to put any member of the congregation in what ever position the see fit.

Apparently the members of his church felt it was alright. Maybe they they all believed "Judge not least ye be Judged", or they felt it was their duty to befriend him and give him a place to atone for his sins.

What ever the reason, to me it shows that despite what he did for a living they accepted him as a person, and made him feel welcome which is what good Christians do, right?
