Actually...no. He's President, not Emperor. A fact which seems to be finally smacking him in the face, incidentally, as he proposes ideas that Pelosi stops dead in their tracks.

She knows she and the rest of the House have to face election next year, so she's tabling some of his wilder ideas.

Obama likes to think of himself as a new FDR, but the truth is, in matters of foreign policy at least, he's not FDR, or even Winston Churchill. He's totally channelling Neville Chamberlain.

However, when it comes to creating wholly unconstitutional government entitlement programs without any reasonable way of paying for them, he's got his FDR down pat.
