Here's What I Think...
Ban Alcohol

Bans don't work.
Yeah, and hey, while we're at it, why don't we ban drunk driving? Wouldn't it be great if we had a law against driving while you were intoxicated.
I say take it a step forward. I'm tired of these bad people doing bad things. I think we should ban a lot of actions. How about we ban murder? That would fix everything. Just think, with no murders, the police would have more time to investigate other things and we would all be happier.
Next time you come up with a solution to a problem, at least figure out what solutions are already in place and then figure out why they aren't working.
Those crimes are already against the law. The reason they still happen is because of the revolving door we call our penal system.
And as far as alcohol, try a little research and look up the prohibition. Alcohol was banned and yet it had NO impact on the amount people consumed and only increased crime and created a new market for criminals.
Prohibition does not work. Bans do not work. For the most part laws do not work. They do not work because the only people that follow them are the people were not inclined to break the laws in the first place.
What does work is tougher sentences and actually having them serve those sentences instead of early parole, probation, early release, etc...
