In warfare, the FEBA (forward edge of the battle area) is where the true fighting occurs. Republicans need to treat the aisle as this, and to shoot people like McCain (ACU 2007 65%) and Specter (ACU 2007 47%) who constantly cross to aid the enemy.

We will also have to rebuild conservatism in the Republican party. There was some hope of a resurgence of conservative Democrats in 2006. Remember Jim Webb, the conservative Democrat from VA (ACU 2007 15%), IN (Bayh, 2007 15%) and CO (Salazar 2007 17%)? The voting record of these three proves that Democrat senators labeled as conservative are not even moderate. Ben Nelso, NE, with a 2007 64% may prove the exception.
