Changing the Inevitable

Excellent analysis, as always, Flag

I liked this essay a lot. Interestingly enough, it's a very similar in some of the ideas to Darvin's latest essay on his blog, wherein he also says that the GOP is evidently deaf to their core constituents, and ignoring the obvious input that TH provides through commenters and bloggers here.

I agree with you fully; there are no annointees this time around. Baldy and Hillary are both in trouble. I think Hillary's candidacy is only still afloat because her competitors are so much worse than she is. Unfortunately for Obamarama, he LOOKS like he should still be on the playground. He looks like a kid playing grown-up; I think that'll kill him, when coupled with the rookie mistakes he keeps making.

The Breck Girl, of course, is an empty head balanced upon an empty suit. I can't imagine him winning the nomination; even DEMS can't be THAT stupid.

I also think (and hope) that Super Duper Tuesday's going to be the end of Baldy's campaign... though if it yields to Huckabee I'm not sure that's any improvement, in all honesty.

Man, it's going to be very interesting next few weeks.... and never forget the old Chinese curse: May you live in interesting times.

Yeah, boy howdy.

But you have to admit, it's a very nice suit!

But seriously, I think that Obama has put some fear into Hillary and her camp...witness the attempt to smear him recently.

As for Huckabee, I think he's going to fizzle...he just has too much negative baggage, and I don't think he can actually shake it loose. His past is starting to bite hi in the @ss already.

Personally, i am hoping that the Thompson campaign picks up some steam and some more media attention. I am hoping that slow and steady will win this race.

Amen, Flag

Me, too!

I've donated a couple hundred of my hard-earned personal bucks to his campaign.

Again, another good piece. I FIRMLY believe a lot of people, and not just we political junkies, are studying up on these candidates a whole lot more than previously thought.I find it amusing here in what was a HUGE Clinton area, there seems to be NO support for the twit.Your analysis on the Party honchos is dead spot-on,these morons need to pull the blinders off and pronto. Although it may seem unlikeky at this stage, the time may well be nigh for a serious look into a third party.Possibly for the 2012 cycle.Seems like there is a large number of folks out there who are sick of having to hold their nose to vote. I sure as hell am among them. hope you and yours had a grand Christmas.

I sure hope

Fred catches fire pretty soon, otherwise I think it'll be Romney. Good post Flag.

Scottie & Clyde

I am not the biggest Romney guy in the world, which is why I am so hopeful that Fred starts to get some traction soon. But I would hold my nose and vote for Romney before I could readily support Huckabee. For a while there I was willing to support him, based on my limited knowledge of his Arkansas record, but as more comes out about him it becomes apparent that he is a GOP version of Bill Clinton...w/o the personality.

As for a third party, that would be very hard to do. You all have seen how people react to the idea that conservatives would not support a Rudy candidacy...now imagine how much the GOP loyalists would run to the aid of the Party if a third party were to emerge.

I still don't think that it's out of the realm of possibility that Fred does some damage. He seems to be more interested in working the people, and not so much the press which is why he doesn't get the coverage of a Romney or Huckabee. Look for Fred to let the others expose just how left leaning they are, then he can come in and present himself as the conservative alternative.

Well, now that the holiday's are over (by one day) it's time to get back to the fight for Truth, Justice and the American Way. To that end, I've just posted a new essay at my blog, so come on by!
