":live on the air no less! According to Ron, our "occupation" of the Arabian Peninsula coupled with our bombings in Iraq (which Ron describes as Holy Land not to be touched by outsiders) brought 911 on ourselves."
First off, he said that It pissed them off,
laments terms for your simple brain, he is
right you moron. Wouldn't you be mad if some
Country Bombed and occupied the US? I bet you
would want to retaliate? I am sure you
would describe Israel as Holy land not to be
touched by outsiders, Right? The Arabian
Peninsula is pretty much the birth place of
Islam, so yeah it is Holy Land to Muslims. Just
Like Israel is Holy land to Jews, Muslims, and
Christians. You could probably see why muslims
would hate Jews, seeing how they don't have free
access to their Holy sites in Israel. I said
COULD because I know you are incapable of seeing
past your prejudices. If we bombed Israel they
would be pissed, wouldn't they be? They would
probably attack us, right? We would probably
deserve it correct?

Pissed Off
Ron Paul is a Monday morning quarterback. He honestly believes that we never should have ever given Osama Bin Laden combat training to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan, because somehow or another we just KNEW 20-odd years ago that it would come back to haunt us. Ludicrous.
As for bombing various countries, well, if they're hacked off about it, that's certainly understandable. However, I would submit to you that the great preponderance of bombings have been done on the actual perpetrators of terrorist acts against us and our troops and civilian employees living in the Middle East. For example, Ronald Reagan (God bless him) bombed the bejeezus out of Moammar Khadaffy when he was a bad boy. Khadaffy has been quiet ever since.
It's funny that in all the interventionist policies that Ron Paul mentioned, he casually forgot to talk about the UN-mandated carpet bombings of the Serbs conducted under the rule of Bill Clinton. This was a country that did nothing to us, that was eliminating Muslim extremism from its country. And we punished them for that!! If the Serbs were doing it today, we would have probably have invited their poor leaders over to the White House and given them medals. It just shows how imperfect and tenable relationships with foreign governments can be, and how rapidly perspectives can change.
Not to mention how easy it is to second guess, which is what Rep. Paul has made a living doing. Perhaps he should go back to doing something he has more control over, like helping women give birth.

Khadafi
That nut job's WMD's are now on display in a museum right here in the good ol' USA because Khadafi recently caved after we invaded Iraq. He is an excellent example of just how successful a strategy INTERVENTIONISM can be when used correctly. It is not a strategy for everywhere at all times. We simply cannot allow them to come here. Dr. Strangelove doesn't understand that.

. . . he couldn't have known -- knowing something "like helping out Osama will come back to haunt us 20 years later" is impossible for humans to know -- thus the "non-interventionist policy."
. . . a humble foreign policy one could say. . . or a "free foreign policy" where government is picking freinds one day and enemies the next.
Why all the glorying in death and hell and bombing?

What about the concept of self-control? Does prohibition work? Does the war on drugs work? Wasn't National Review opposed to war on drugs once upon a time?

Please explain Islamo-fascism to me, and define the term.
Additionally, please explain define Christianity, and Republican.
You're making some grand claims, but until you define your terms no one (including you) has any idea what you are talking about, literally.
I'm not making grand claims -- so step up to the plate, define, and explain your terms.
What is an Islamo-fascist?

Eden
Is it your position that "hippy" values obtained in Eden? The law tells us what is good, and thus what the "values" of a place are.
Who set the laws in Eden? Given Eden's lawgiver, would not its law be perfect and good? Additionally, wouldn't its law be not only perfect, good, but also eternal and binding on all men everywhere?
Would this make Eden's lawgiver a hippy? I think we not be happy with where this argument goes. . . but I don't know. Seriously, I'm not being trite, I'm just trying to think along with you.
What is the opposite of these dread "hippy values" -- crushing force and coercion, make the other guy fall in line, don't let him live and let live?
"You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant."

-- Wrong, and unbecoming of a fair minded individual; this is most definently NOT the reason he proposed for non-intervention. He stated it as a consequence of intervention but it was not the reason for non-intervention
-- maybe you should look a bit more carefully at his views. . . OR we could kick butt and take names or something else fitting of a tough guy.

Could you point out where the Constitution authorizes Congress to pass legislation prohibiting the use of marijuana or any other drug?
Also, how could a President Ron Paul "use the Constitution to destroy those values we hold dear?"

Hemp
FYI just for the sake of argument, industrial hemp is not the same as cannabis grown for "recreational use". The active ingredient amount in industrial hemp is so low it wouldn't produce a high. Hemp is a good money making crop.
The bill he introduced had nothing to do with "legalizing drugs."
That said, Ron Paul is a kook and we don't need a kook in the White House.
