Destroying initiative the dems way

I listen to Andrew Wilkow on XM, one of the points he makes is for some of the better doctors should move to a friendly Island nation, open a clinic, and provide a vacation clinic for those who wish to escape the obamacare crapola.

I like that idea. I pray though, that they don't have to. I love the ability to get treated right away if needed.

Of course, if an island of good doctors would happen in the future, I'm sure my wife and I would move out there. Maybe some business would also! Call it old America! or something to that effect.

You make a great point about initiative and incentive. The basis of socialism is to suppress individual excellence, to homogenize society to create a sense of futility when it comes to fulfillment of personal goals so that worker bees know and will be content in their proper place. Only the most fit shall survive from the womb and into the last days of life.

For that purpose, doctors and health care as we know them today are not the right prescription. The hippocratic oath will be a memory. Physicians who purport to be in the business of saving lives will become hypocrites as they make decisions to destroy the lives of the unfit. They'll be more technician than doctor, dispensing medicines and ordering the most cost effective procedures based on the "lowest bidder" mentality.

Well said. It amazes me they haven't really brought this up in the townhall meetings, especially by the senators or reps. Most of the time they are ignoring questions from people. One such doctor was completely ignored down in Georgia by their Senator, which I saw on youtube. You'd think they want questions from the folks whose future they are trying to change.

I called my cardiologist for an appointment, my annual check up, on July 24th. I was schedule for the following Wed. when it was determined that it was time to change my pacer. The battery level had gotten low after 8+ years.

I was scheduled and received an echo and a stress test on the 30th, got a full blood panel done on the 3rd of August and had the surgery on the 12th.

What exactly is supposed to be broken about this system?

Probably because doctors and the insurance companies profit, and apparently this is bad...


I'm glad folks such as yourself can get important appointments quickly and efficiently without waiting for months. Good question, I also don't know whats broken in the system.

prezbo has already insulted surgeons and pediatricians, Eric. They are cutting off feet/legs/limbs and pulling the tonsils out of scared children to make the big bucks off the evil insurance industry. How dare the left say W and Sarah Palin are ignorant? Who lets prezbo out? He as no clue what he is saying. He screams in his microphone and sounds like an idiot. My husband watched all three of those THs. Exactly the same script and same questions. How could he do it? Well, we are retired ....

His townhalls' are as fake as Nancy Pelosi's face. I heard a good point the other day. How can those who defend the bill refute the opponents side when they haven't read it?? Obama's doing exactly that. What's worse is those townhall meetings are so staged they make reality shows seem more real.

Yes those ths are fake, furthermore, bo says he has NO INTENTION of reading the bill. He calls us liars, but can't point to the exact section to prove we are wrong. The plain, old, stupid people HAVE read the bill. But we are the stupid ones. Cornyn needs two lawyers to help him read and understand the bill. But we the uneducated little people who are too stupid to know what we want for ourselves have read AND understand the monstrosity.
