Zabaglione

Gordon has a great sense of theatre, and IMHO will always use an ingredient or presentation that is 'flashy' rather than necessarily the best approach re the palate. I think he's more of a showman than a great chef! (See my earlier post on pomiane.blogspot re Bruno Loubet). Having said which, I'll be experimenting tonight with a Prosecco Zabaglione to go with poached pears, which I suspect I'll find rather 'light' - but at least prosecco is almost as cheap as water in this part of the World!

Gordon Ramsay

True. He is at least as much about putting on a show as he is about food (that's why he is a TV chef). Although I get inspired by his show, I tend to find and use someone elses recipe. The one excpetion is Beef Wellington. So far, I am happy with his recipe (made it twice now).
