It isn't looking good for the future of America IMO... too many years of liberal brainwashing, and conservatives badmouthing their own side= the chances are slim and none that the GOP will ever get a majority again, much less the WH. And with this bunch in charge they will make sure that they have a lock on elections by skewing the census, "re-organizing" communities, and in general cheating.

Other than that, the problem will continue with the folks that want to cleanse the GOP of anyone who isn't a 100% conservative on every issue, and we will see the downfall of America. I wish I could be more optimistic, but I think it's over.

On the day that we are attacked again, people will remember that under Bush we were safe enough to go back to talking about how unconservative / Hitler like Bush was. They will remember that the only party serious about fighting the war was the party of Republicans.

Hopefully, those who have a shred of real principles will see the harm that their demand for purity cost--and resolve NEVER to do so again. Hopefully, they will be the first to always stand by those who take war seriously and the first to point out what happens when the "ideals" trump character.

Notice that I am not expecting the Left to change their agenda nor conservatives to abandon all their principles. I AM hoping that the latter will begin to comprehend that principles without loyalty and belief are only pretty meaningless words.
