Tea Party Express- Denver 11/03

Nice

I thought about going to the party, but the winds were really blowing over the passes on 285. Nice day, but snow blows all over the place up there.

Patrick

Yeah, luckily the weather remained calm downtown, so even though it was a little cool, nevertheless it was a good success.

Eric

It's not just the Liberals we need to keep fighting, it's also the inside the beltway Republican elite. Those who backed that ridiculously obvious RINO in NY-23 and refused to back the only conservative in the race. If they continue in their failure to see the light, they we'll leave em behind. Country First!!

Dan

Exactly. Hoffman would have won if it had not been for the RINO getting behind the dem. At least we conservatives will back someone who we agree with ideologically, not because of an R or a D. Live I've said before, get the RINOS and liberals out of office, get some conservatives in.

Eric

You from around Denver? If so, I did not know that... (or if I did, I forgot, so my apologies if that's the case...) I'm in Laramie.

The tea parties are a chance to unite, and I think they are great...

I think its also important to note how pretty much everyone is in a state of flux. As of now, the Dems have held together better, but chinks are starting to show, and if they don't get health care, there's a good chance they'll explode...

vdad

Yeah, Aurora actually. I love this state, much more scenic than the state of Iowa and Nebraska where I grew up!

I also think that the dems IV is this healthcare bill, kind of ironic. It's too bad they're focusing more on this than the economy and especially Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran and North Korea's nuclear ambitions. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd rather not have the dems continue to delve into our economic market and screw it up more. Nevertheless, this health care bill is one giant financial euthanasia, or a huge blow to our health care system and medical insurance companies. We can't forget the salaries of our doctors and nurses.

Keep the Spirit!

Great Post.

Yeah, we had a tea party here in St. Louis back in July, and no kidding, there was a drone flying overhead to spy on us! My husband (an ex navy seal) saw it first, and then several veterans around us looked up, and just couldn't beleive their eyes. We were all so shocked that no one thought to take a picture of it.

After that, the "people' here are not being permitted to get together in downtown St. Louis. and the nearest Tea Parties are over 300 miles away. Most of us just dont' have the money.

Eric, you keep up your good work. True patriot, and true heart. God bless.

(And I'm saying a prayer for that new baby..keep us all informed)

Eric

Nice report!!

2010 is around the corner, changes from the "change" hopefuly will be made!

Good to hear fron you....have a good one!!

God Bless!!

braintree

Thanks. This one was much smaller than the April tea party I attended here in Denver, but nevertheless, the same feelings about whats going on still applies, especially to more of the country.

Jason

Can't wait to get the bums out of there and get some new politicians in. I really hope Reid looses his position.

Braintree- I'll keep you updated on our child. Thanks for the prayers.

Snow?

I'm afraid I'm a Summer Soldier. Any kind of weather is enough to make me opt out. You go guys!

skep

Cold doesn't bother me to much. To save money my roomates and I went without turning the furnace on in our apartment in the winter in Iowa, but we did use space heaters. Saved us a good bundle!

Good report

Keep the pressure on, my brother!

crawfish

Thanks. We can't stop now.

Huffman

got over 46% of the vote--that sent a very real message to the political "elete"--conservative values COUNT!

crossbow

Especially to the RINOs. We won't be like Gingrich and only vote for someone with an R in front of their name. We're tired of the same liberals on both sides.

Like you said, the conservative vote counts.

"Let's take America back"

It's gonna be a tough fight Eric. The Health care bill is as I wrote months ago, a ruse. I know, everyone believes that this bill is DOA and that the TEA parties have had an impact. I believe the TEA parties important to us as they are, have actually hastened the left's attempt to get anything passed as soon as possible. The real problem is if they begin to compromise on issues such as funding for abortion or whatever gets the Republicans upset to pick off some of the moderate and independent resistance. Any bill passed which includes the mandatory coverage provision, establishes a police state by forcing Citizens of the several states to obtain and provide proof of health insurance or be penalized with fines and/or imprisonment. I can hardly believe such a situation is coming our way in AMERIKA.

Has anyone watched the movie Brazil lately? Or perhaps Rollerball, 1975 with James Caan? Between the two flicks one gets a pretty accurate picture where we're headed.

aftershock

Good post. A mandatory fine for not taking insurance is SICK. I'm a healthy young guy who really does not need insurance. Now if passed I'll be forced to pay for something I don't want, and there are MANY youngsters that have the same opinion I do. The media never shows that.

It will

Take all of us who truly belive in our God given indavidual liberties to rally--and rally TOGETHER. This means all of the TEA parties, 9/12ers, and Abigail project people -everyone rally in these common values to get our country BACK! Virginia and New Jersey have already opened up the beginning salvos.

Patriot

Indeed. And we'll show it at the polls.

A viable suggestion

One day, we MAY be marching on DC with pitchforks, torches, and plenty of tar and feathers.

There is a chance of legal avoidance:
