MEET ME AT MEDVED'S

Thanks, Chris!

Good to know that all of our Wirs-bashing hasn't yet vanished down the memory hole.

Cheers!

Norm, update

Have you noticed that Wirs's usual column failed to appear, and even his old columns are gone from the archives?

As you probably know, I went after Wirs with a vengeance, originally because I couldn't stand his sanctimony.

Well, after extensive correspendence with the TH guys, and a little bit of my own initiative, we've discovered that Wirs happens to be a convicted felon and major scam artist, who's been essentially bilking TH out of their time and space. Further, I think his "GOPonDemand" website was another griftier effort, and even sent him an email telling him so (in addition to doing a major "nanner-nanner" about his clum here).

Then check this out:

I've spoken directly with the TH folks; we won't be seeing Weird Wirs on TH anymore.

Hey BrianR!

I couldn't get the link for the New York Slimes (aka "The People's Daily") to work, but the Patriot News was quite interesting. The link you provided led to a search page, and by searching "Wirs" I found a lot of interesting information. He is indeed an ex-con, and his theft by deception marks him as a grifter.

He was also ordered by at least one judge to undergo a psychiatric examination.

Good pick, TH! Maybe they'll now start choosing their clumnists from among the undocumented workers hanging out in front of the local Home Depot. They could probably write better . . .

I guess Wirs thought jumping on the RINO-Bandwagon would net him some easy money.

Perhaps TH should work on its "background checks."

Holy Smoke! I knew there was something

seriously wrong with Wirs...

The description in that nytimes article BrianR posted makes him sound remarkably similar to Wobbie, as has been previously suspected.

Makes me wonder if his Republican Leadership Trust and the other trustees even exist outside his loppy head...

Check this out - Back in May, Michelle Malkin wrote a column after Wirs announced GOP-on-Demand. WBABT is featured in the article. Her column was not posted on TH:
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/05/18/what-the-gop-and-airli nes-have-in-common/

Also, this site has a list of Wirs' clums:
http://labs.daylife.com/journalist/peter_j._wirs

Finally, I found a WBABT member-at-large here:

Guys

I suspect that Wirs's GOPonDemand is just another scam. Don't forget, you have to sign up and pay $25 for the "benefits of membership".

I'll bet that 25 bucks goers right into Wirs's wallet.

His big "stealth bomber"... what a schmuck.

PS, Norm, I just clicked the link in my previous post here, and it works for me. If it doesn't for you, try copy-and-paste and stick it in your URL destination space on your browser. It's an interesting article.

Chris and BrianR

Thanks for the links and info. It is hard to believe that TH was THIS sloppy in letting a convicted scam artist and grifter use their site.

I thought at first that it was the RNC who pressued and/or paid TH to let Wirs have his own clum. Now I think it is more likely that this was a solo act by Wirs. Then again, in reading up on him, I see that he's adept at getting third parties to pony up for his felonious schemes.

Good detective work, fellas. Thanks again!

DOGGONE IT!

I was all prepared to strike my first blow for the WBABTs at medved's column today. Of course, today is when he actually writes a truly outstanding column, which throws those plans out the window.

Hey Crawdaddy!

I saw where you had gotten the pole position on Medved's clum. I certainly appreciate your Wabbit initiative!

It wasn't a bad column, but I manage to find something negative to write. Just posted it. Comment 29 or something like that.

Just remember: An smiling enemy is still an enemy. Medved may write a decent clum every now and then, but he's still a RINO--and hence deserves every bit of bashing we can give out, even on those rare occasions he's isn't shilling for McVain.

Cheers!

Norm

Ya haven't sent me any Wabbit updates lately.

Maybe Townhall will get rid of Medved and pay me to post The Weekly Claw on their main page....
